Botox®/Xeomin/Nuceiva Cosmetic Injections

Cosmetic toxin injections are a world-renowned treatment for lines and wrinkles. It involves the injection of "Neuromodulators" such as BOTOX® Cosmetic, Nuceiva®, and Xeomin® which are made of very low doses of purified protein produced by Clostridium botulinum bacterium called botulinum toxicum type A. Neuromodulators are injected directly into muscles to block the transmission of nerve impulses to reduce the activity of the injected muscles to help to relax muscles that cause wrinkles. This temporary prevention of muscle contraction results in the reduction of facial lines; namely, the dynamic wrinkles in the upper facial area, including the forehead, side of the eyes, and frown lines.
Dr. Hitkari's approach is less is more, to strive for a natural look and not a frozen one. She is happy to work with you and your budget. After discussing your goals and assessing your face, a plan will be discussed and decided upon together. Dr. Hitkari will then mark out the areas of treatment and gently inject the neuromodulators.

Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers Injections
Injectable fillers, such as Restylane®, Teosyal®, and Juvederm®, are made of hyaluronic acid which is a soft tissue replacement material that is naturally occurring in the body. Dr. Hitkari, Naturopathic Physician, only uses 100% hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers for non-surgical facial shaping and augmentation, which is biologically made, and therefore harmlessly used by the body and broken down over time. HA fillers have a gel-like consistency, unlike neuromodulators and other fillers, and can be placed into various layers of the body such as the skin, fat and superior to the bone for augmentation and restoration of various body areas. Dr. Hitkari philosophy when it comes to cosmetic procedures is that less is more to try and strive for natural-looking results. HA fillers can be adjusted and even reversed. Microneeding/Collagen Induction Therapy

Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure where Dr. Hitkari uses an FDA-approved electrical device containing multiple tiny sterile needles to puncture the surface skin. These sterile needles cause micro-injuries to the skin stimulating the body's natural healing process and resulting in an increased production of elastin and collagen. The induction of these two proteins can help smooth the skin, and minimize the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, surgical scars and stretch marks. It can also help reduce hyperpigmentation and dark spots.

The average microneedling procedure takes approximately 30 minutes. A topical anesthetic is applied to the skin prior to the procedure to allow for minimal discomfort. Immediately following your treatment, the skin will appear pink to red similar to a mild sunburn. Results vary per person, and 3-4 treatments are generally recommended about 6-8 weeks apart.

Microneedling should be avoided in people with active skin infections, active herpes outbreaks, moderate to severe chronic skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis and people with keloidal tendencies.

With minimal downtime and the use of the body's natural healing response, microneedling provides very natural-looking results and is suggested for anyone looking for an alternative to all-over skin resurfacing using skin lasers.
